Are You a Part of the Colony (Grill)?

As a student at Fairfield University, I am incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by unique restaurants! With so many places to choose from, Colony Grill will always be at the top of my list.

Right from the start of my freshmen year, I remember everyone talking about going to Colony and how amazing their pizza is. One Friday night, my best friend and I decided we needed to find out what all of the hype was about and took the Stag Bus downtown. At first, we were surprised to find there was only pizza on the menu, which is painted on the wall. When the waiter or waitress comes over to your table, you are expected to have your order ready.

During the weekend, don't be surprised if you can't hear yourself talk - this place is packed! There's always a wait if you go past 5:30pm, but that's because the pizza is so good! If you like thin crust, this is the place for you. It is truly a unique pizza and you can easily eat a whole pie by yourself. Their specialty is the hot oil pizza, which is delicious if you like your food spicy! My personal favorites are cheese and pepperoni, and I like to add a touch of garlic powder for some extra flavor. Pictured to the right is a bacon and mushroom, and above is half-cheese, half-pepperoni.

This post is written about the Fairfield location, but there are also locations in Milford, Stamford, Norwalk, and Port Chester, NY.
